Introduction
The IMC union organizes the international mathematics contest every year. 2014 will be the IMC 10th anniversary! In the last 9 years, more than ten thousands of selected students from Singapore, India, Philippines, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Iran have participated in the contest. The contest was supported and participated by nearly one hundred education institutions and schools, including: Singapore Tourism Board (STB) - Education Services Division, National University Singapore (NUS) High School of Mathematics and Science, Jetwings Institution, ISS International School of Singapore,, Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad School, Mathematics Education Clinic(Indonesia), Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (Philippines), City Montessori School of India, International Mathematics Communication Association (Taiwan), E Mathematics Olympiad System (Malaysia) , International Mathematics Identification Association (South Korea), Pratabong Academy (Thailand), Math Symbol (Iran) etc.

With nine years of development, the IMC Union and IMC Contest have been recognized by more and more participated countries, and enjoyed great popularity among the participated students and teachers. So far, IMC has become an important reference for the school entrance exam, as many students have earned the scholarship from international schools by their IMC prize. Of course, the purpose of IMC is more than that, it is ultimately dedicated to making more students love math and making the teaching and study fun and happy.

Students by age range
The age range of students who could apply for IMC is as follow: Grade 3,4, 5, 6 of primary school, Grade 1, 2, 3 of junior high school and Grade 1, 2 of senior high school.

Questionnaire, Certificates & Medals

1. The questions of IMC are divided into three types: Multiple choice (Total 40 points, 5 points each), Fill in the blanks (Total 40 points, 5 points each) and Solve problems (Total 20 points, 10 points each). The total Score is 100 points and the time for the contest is 90 minutes. The questions designed to show the students’ mathematical ability and reflect the mathematics teaching level of the participating countries. The test has different versions, such as: Chinese (simplified) -English mixed, Chinese (Taiwan)-English mixed, English, Indonesian, Thai and Korean etc.
2. Certificates & Medals will be determined by the score of students and issued accordingly. Medals will be categorized as Gold, Silver and Bronze.
3. Grand Champion Prize will be issued for each grade (only one can be awarded in each grade, namely, the top score student. This prize is awarded only when there are more than 50 participants in the grade.)

Final Contest and Relevant Activities
The IMC international mathematics Final Contest is held in Singapore each year, consisting of two parts of activities: Contest& Prize Presentation and Visiting & Sightseeing. By participating IMC, students from various counties could get an opportunity to compete together, showing their talents and increasing their interests in math studies. They are also inspired to get a better prize and fight for the champion after participating in the heart thrilling Prize awarding ceremony. Through sightseeing and interaction with local schools, students could enrich their experiences and enhance their friendship with each other.
